Inslee statement on death of Sgt. 1st Class Eric M. Emond

Story Gov. Jay Inslee released a statement today on the death of Sgt. 1st Class Eric M. Emond who died yesterday while serving in Afghanistan. Sgt. 1st Class Emond, age 39, was from Brush Prairie, Washington and was assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
“Trudi and I join all Washingtonians in mourning the loss of Sgt. 1st Class Eric M. Emond. We send our deep condolences to his family and friends, and thank him for his military service and his ultimate sacrifice for our country.”
