“This Native American determination should expedite the rightful return of Kennewick Man to his resting place in our state. It’s been clear to the state from the start that Kennewick Man was Native American and should be repatriated to the affected tribes and reinterred in Washington state accordingly. Hopefully we can soon see this contentious situation come to the appropriate resolution. I appreciate the good work of our state Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation and members of Washington’s congressional delegation on this issue.”
