Gov. Jay Inslee's statement regarding the Federal Aviation Administration's announcement that Washington State University will co-lead a coalition of 16 university partners around the country in being home to a Center of Excellence for Alternative Jet Fuels and Environment
"Given our combination of vibrant agriculture and aerospace know-how, Washington is in a unique position to lead the world in the advancement of new technologies that enable a viable market for aviation biofuels. Winning this research center was an important element of our Washington Aerospace Industry Strategy. I am thrilled that the FAA has recognized our competitive potential and the excellence of WSU in establishing this center here.
