Outstanding Technology Educator of the Year Award - 2006

Teacher from Cheney School District Awarded Outstanding Technology Educator of the Year Award

Karen Runyon received the Outstanding Technology Educator of the Year Award at the 2006 NCCE (Northwest Council for Computer Education) conference in Portland. Karen has been a TLP (Teacher Leadership Project) grant recipient and is an Intel Master Teacher. Her work was integral to the writing and subsequently receiving the Partners in Learning Grant.

Karen has worked to integrate technology into the math curriculum for several years. She is an excellent role model for her colleagues in the math department as they work to create a technology rich learning environment for their students.
