Advisory Committee
Overview
The Advisory Committee will be comprised of experts in the fields of teaching, technology, business management, cognitive development, data management, and curriculum design. They will serve as an independent advisory group to help in the selection of the project and provide guidance over lifecycle of the project.
As set forth in the Memorandum of Understanding and Charter, the parties will form a “Strategic Partnership Committee” to serve as an independent advisory group to include not more than 20 to help in the selection of the projects and guide the project goals. In 2006, a subset of the advisory group agreed to provide guidance during the implementation phase. Over the life of the project, the implementation group of advisors became known as the Advisory Committee.
A Microsoft Partners in Learning Program Manager and a Washington State Governor’s Executive Policy Advisor to the Governor make up the Executive Committee and will co-chair the Advisory Committee. They will work together to identify and recruit appropriate partners to serve on the Advisory Committee and help guide targeted financial investments, investment of other resources, and overall project management.
