Grays Harbor Action Team

Governor Gregoire is deeply engaged in the effort to retain family wage jobs in the Grays Harbor area. When Weyerhauser announced their intention to close the Cosmopolis pulp mill and their big log mill, Governor Gregoire met with affected families, convened a group of community leaders, held a community forum, and engaged the Weyerhauser company in discussions about the area's future. Those efforts are continuing.
