Executive Commissioner Orientation

On behalf of Governor Christine Gregoire, let me begin by welcoming you to the family of the Executive Branch of State Government.

Your service as a gubernatorial appointee is greatly appreciated by the Governor. I hope during the first year of your appointment you will be able to join us in Olympia for the Executive Commissioner Orientation (registration). This is an opportunity to meet the Governor's staff in Boards & Commissions and to meet other gubernatorial appointees. This orientation will also give you some of the tools you need for successful service as well as some perspective on the governor’s goals and priorities.

This orientation is required for all new appointees and is optional for reappointed members.

Orientations are scheduled on a quarterly basis and are held in the Columbia room in the Legislative building. The times are 10 am to 3 pm.

The cost of attendance for this conference is $10 per person — This cost will cover lunch, refreshments and training materials. The majority of your boards or commissions will cover this cost for you.

Your board staff person will be your primary contact person for this event — If they do not have a staff person then it will be your board chair. Please RSVP as soon as possible.
