Property and Liability Advisory Board

Assists the state risk manager in adopting rules governing the operation and management of both individual and joint self-insurance programs covering liability and property risks; and in reviewing and approving the creation of joint self-insurance programs covering property or liability risks.

Qualification:

Consisting of the insurance commissioner and the state risk manager, or their designees, as ex officio members and five members appointed by the governor on the basis of their experience and knowledge in matters pertaining to local government risk management, self-insurance, and management of joint self-insurance programs. The board shall include at least two representatives from individual property or liability self-insurance programs and at least two representatives from joint property or liability self-insurance programs.
