Boards and Commissions
Grants certificates of authority to operate cemeteries owned by corporations other than religious groups or taxing district authorities; grants pre-arrangement sales licenses and crematory licenses; reviews audit results of endowment-care and pre-arrangement trust funds; holds disciplinary hearings on title violations; and adopts and amends rules. Also consults with the Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers on rules for cremation and crematories.

Qualification:
Four members of the board shall be persons who have had experience in this state in the active administrative management of a cemetery authority or as a member of the board of directors thereof. One member of the board shall be a general public and shall not have a financial interest in the cemetery business.
